Rise of the Rune Lords
I'll be dead soon enough.
Warvayne is a young half-orc barbarian that was bred in Urglin near the Hold of Belkzen. At an early age, Warvayne began to resent his creators and question why he was there and forced to fight the other children. He carried on this way for years, questioning his clan leaders silently. The training continued until the half-orcs were 16. The leader of the tribe was an orc named Barloff Bloodburn and was one of many hell-bent on overthrowing the current champion at the Hold of Belkzen. Barloff had amassed quite the following and had high hopes of his rise to power. However, the leadership of the clan was weak and many of the young half-orcs began to outwardly revolt. Warvayne led a small group to fight their way out of Urglin and fled to Southern Varisia.
Warvayne has spent the last two years wandering the Varisian Southlands taking jobs as hired muscle or to hunt and track. He finds himself at home in the forests and enjoys the solitude of a hunt. Whether it is an animal to feed a family or the head of a criminal brought to a town square, Warvayne has found the trips in the forest help him deal with the rage he was raised to embrace. The half-orc has found acceptance with some through his prowess as a hunter and fighter, but struggles to form relationships with people due to their fear of his overwhelming appearance. He is a tall creature with heavily orc-looking features. His skin is riddled with the scars of battle along with a few tattoos. His rough exterior keeps many away, but he has found gambling as a way to connect. He spends much of his free time around the inns looking for ways to make new friends and money.
